Lake Constance Cycle Tour from Bregenz – 7 nights | 6 stages
Day 1 - Arrival in Bregenz
Handover of travel documents and rental bikes (if booked) at the Infopoint Hotel Weisses Kreuz.
Overnight stay at a 3* hotel in Bregenz.
Day 2 - Güttingen / Romanshorn (45-56 km)
You cycle beautifully through the parks along the lake, past the festival theatre and the lake stage. Continue to Mehrerau, the only active monastery on Austria's Lake Constance. Continue past numerous bathing opportunities to the Bregenzer Ache. Through the nature reserve ‘Altenrhein-Mündung’ to Staad, and then to the day's destination.
Overnight stay in a 3* or 4* hotel.
Day 3 - Rielasingen / Gailingen (51-61 km)
Always along the lake to Kreuzlingen and further along Untersee to Ermatingen and via Berlingen to beautiful Stein am Rhein with its magnificent house facades. Continue to Rielasingen - Gailingen.
Overnight stay in a 3* hotel.
Day 4 - Schaffhausen and Rheinfall (30 or 50 km - depending on the overnight stay)
On the Rhine cycle path to Schaffhausen (Munot Fortress) and the largest waterfall in Europe; return on same route.
Overnight stay as on the previous day.
Day 5 - Constance / Kreuzlingen (53 km)
Across the Höri peninsula to Radolfzell and past the island of Reichenau to the Council City.
Tip: Island tour to the monastery island of Reiche (+ 14 km).
Overnight stay in a 3* hotel.
Day 6 - Friedrichshafen (33 km by bike, 15 min. by ferry)
Use the morning for individual sightseeing of the flower island Mainau; then to the ferry to Staad; crossing to Meersburg and along the lake via Immenstaad to Friedrichshafen (customs office building in the middle of the park, castle church).
Tip: After the ferry crossing, a tour to the pile dwellings in Uhldingen (+ 10 km).
Overnight stay in a 3* or 4* hotel.
Day 7 - Bregenz (35 km)
Tip: Individual visit of the Zeppelin Museum in Friedrichshafen.
Through the Argenmündung nature reserve (tour along the Argen river to Laimnau + 18 km) to the island town Lindau and back to the festival city Bregenz.
Overnight stay at a 3* hotel.
Day 8 - End of Cycle Tour
Additional nights or individual departure.
