You will experience the most beautiful sections of the Danube cycle path during this active holiday on the Danube without any particular effort! From the Schlögener Schlinge via Vienna and the Danube Bend to Budapest. By day, you cycle past baroque towns, the vineyards of the Wachau and Hungary, as well as magnificent monasteries are among the most beautiful experiences of this bike cruise. In the evening, relax on board.

The MS Primadonna is the second largest cruise ship at the Danube. Experience the elegance of the MS Primadonna with spacious decks, wellness, restaurant, bar, atrium and much more at a bike tour without hotel change! The MS Primadonna is waiting for you daily at the end of your trip. You can also enjoy the day on board - on the sun deck with whirlpool or in the wellness-area with whirlpool, sauna & Kneipp water-treading basin. In the kitchen, we emphasize using regional Austrian products - all dishes are prepared fresh on board. The MS Primadonna is the only cruise ship under Austrian flag.

Friday, Individual arrival to Passau

Individual arrival in Passau by train or car | boarding from 2.30 pm | transfer from the private parking lot or Passau train station to the ship approx. 4.30 pm | welcome menu.

Saturday, Schlögen – Linz (56 km)

Handover of rental bikes | cycle through the unpopulated narrow valley near Kaiserau to the baroque market town of Aschach and to Linz.

Sunday, Tulln – Vienna (31 or 49 km)

Individual visit of the Tulln State Garden Show | past the outskirts of the Vienna Woods to Vienna | individual city tour by bike (+ 18 km traffic-free cycle paths) or guided (bike or bus) tour for an extra charge | individual visit to a „Heurigen“ near the ship landing.

Monday, Komárno - Esztergom (56 km)

On the Danube Cycle Route/E6 from Komárno (fortress, Europe Square) past the Roman fort Kelemantia to Stúrovo; traffic-free cycle path to the ship | individual tour of Esztergom Cathedral on request | in the evening, cruise to the beautifully illuminated Danube metropolis.

Tuesday, Bike Tour to the Margarete’s Island (22 km or 55 km)

Optional: by bus to the most beautiful sights (3 hours) with a stop in the castle quarter | tips for a cycle tour on traffic free cycle paths through the city centre | active version: Cycle tour to the artists' town of Szentendre (55 km)

Wednesday, Bratislava and Culture Island Meulensteen (40 km)

Optional: guided city tour (1 hour) | traffic-free cycle path from the ship to the Cultural Island Meulensteen (individual visit to the gallery) | return along the same route with refreshment stops

Thursday, Krems - Marbach (53 km)

Cycle tour from Krems (UNESCO World Heritage Site) via Dürnstein through the Wachau past Melk with its imposing abbey, to Marbach.

Friday, Disembarkation / Passau

Disembarkation till 10 am | bus transfer from the ship to the private parking lot or Passau train station and journey home.

With a width of more than 17 m, the only Danube catamaran (double-hulled ship) is far ahead of other river cruise ships in terms of generosity and spatial effect. No narrowness in the corridors, extraordinary spaciousness in the social areas - from restaurant to bar. In the 60-meter-long and 8-meter-wide atrium people meet in a cozy atmosphere. The MS Primadonna is the only cruise ship on the Danube under the Austrian flag! Accordingly, all standards of the „Alpine Republic“ apply from the quality of the drinking water to the service contracts of the employees. Due to the low water resistance of a catamaran, the Primadonna also has a low diesel consumption (= only approx. 60 % of comparable ships).

Cabins

On the upper and promenade decks the cabins are 16.5 m² in size and have a balcony and a desk. On the upper deck there is an additional sofa, on the promenade deck there are two comfortable chairs. On the main deck the cabins are equipped with a large, non-opening porthole and individually adjustable heating, air conditioning and shower, WC, hairdryer, TV/radio (140 channels/satellite), safe, phone and minibar (11.5 m²). Main deck ECO cabins have the same equipment with 9.5 m² in size and have folding bunk beds.

Gastronomy

The yardstick of all cruise ships is the cuisine! For us individuality and fulfillment of customer wishes counts! From the vegetable juicer at the American breakfast buffet to selected cheese specialties as the conclusion of the 4/5 course menu, we offer 1st-class level. Dietary requests partly possible, please indicate when booking. Our dishes are influenced by the specialties of all ten Danube countries; Viennese cuisine has a particularly high value; Tip: Of all the Danube ships MS Primadonna has the most favorable bottle wine prices e.g. a Bordeaux Lamothe-Vincent 2011 costs only € 19,80 (0,75 l). Five meals a day: breakfast buffet, served 3-course lunch or packed lunch for the bike tour, 4/5-course dinner in the evening, afternoon coffee with pastries, midnight snack.

Hovering over the Danube

In the Danube arena, between the two hulls, you look out over a 9-meter-high glass front onto the waves of the Nibelungen River, which literally flows beneath your feet. At the reception, a glass floor with lighting allows a view into the underwater world.

Wellness

Whirlpool, Kneipp pool and sauna are available for your relaxation free of charge. Depending on the program included or payable on site: Partial body and hydrojet massage.

General information

> Schedule- and programme changes due to regional circumstances (eg. flood, low water, bad weather etc.) can be possible on order of the 1^st captain. Bike trips, side-programs as well as arrival & layover times may also be affected.

> Entrainment of own bikes possible - NO discount on tour price. This on clients’ risk – for damages on the own bike during the whole tour we can’t be held liable.

> EU – citizens need a valid passport or identification card. For citizens of other countries, there are different regulations (and expenses); please inform yourself before arriving to the tour.

> WLAN free of charge from Passau to (shortly before) Bratislava (with some restrictions in Slovakia & Hungary). There are two central terminals on the ship for checking your e-mails with limited data volume. For any damages due to unavailability, the shipping company cannot be held liable.

PRIVATE TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Withdrawals

1.1 When submitting a withdrawal from the trip / stay the customer undertakes to assume the following cancellation costs:

1.1.1 Cancellation up to 94 days before the program starts - 20% of the total amount of the reservation.

1.1.2 Cancellation from 93 to 52 days before the program starts - 50% of the total amount of the reservation.

1.1.3 Cancellation from 51 to 38 days before the program starts - 70% of the total reservation amount.

1.1.4 Cancellation from 37 to 25 days before the program starts - 80% of the total reservation amount.

1.1.5 Cancellation from 24 days until the beginning of the program - 90% of the total reservation amount.

1.1.6 No-show - 100% of the total amount of the reservation.

2. Changes

2.1 For changes of reservations (e.g. change of date, hotel category, itinerary, board incl. special requests as allergies, vegetarian meals, etc.) from 93 days before arrival, we charge per booking a processing fee of 35€ or 70€ from 10 days before arrival € 70, processing fee (once per booking).

2.2 Changes to another trip is only possible in form of cancellation and subsequent rebooking.
