The MS Primadonna is the second largest cruise ship at the Danube. Experience the elegance of the MS Primadonna with spacious decks, wellness, restaurant, bar, atrium and much more at a bike tour without hotel change! The MS Primadonna is waiting for you daily at the end of your trip. You can also enjoy the day on board - on the sun deck with whirlpool or in the wellness-area with whirlpool, sauna & Kneipp water-treading basin. In the kitchen, we emphasize using regional Austrian products - all dishes are prepared fresh on board. The MS Primadonna is the only cruise ship under Austrian flag.

Friday, Individual arrival to Passau 

Until 16.00 h to the (fenced, unguarded) parking space in Passau or to the main train station or straight to the ship. Transfer from the parking space/train station to the ship. Welcome snack at approx. 16.00 h at the ship. Approx. 17.00 h "Cast off"!

 

Saturday, Schlögen – Linz (56 km)

Delivery of rental bikes in the morning. Starting from UNESCO heritage site „Schlögener Schlinge“ through the uninhabited valley Kaiserau to the baroque market Aschach and via Ottensheim further on to Linz.

 

Sunday, Tulln – Vienna (31 or 50 km)

Individual visit of the Egon-Schiele museum & garden exhibition in Tulln. Bike tour from the flower-city Tulln, with nice view to the extensions of the Viennese forest past Klosterneuburg (abbey – “Austria’s Escorial”) to Vienna. Individual visit of Vienna or “guided tour by bike” 95 % on bike paths/description & GPS-data available. After dinner from approx. 20.30 h sightseeing tour by bus “Vienna by night” from Nussdorfer Platz.

 

Monday, Komáron– Esztergom (56 km)

On beautiful car-free bank paths partly directly at the Danube from Komárom on the left river bank through small, dreamy cities via Moca to Esztergom. Individual visit of the cathedral. Via the Gisela-bridge to Štúrovo, directly on the opposite site of Esztergom. Ride through the “Danube-knee".

 

Tuesday, Visit Budapest / Bike Tour to the Margarete’s Island (22 km)

Sightseeing tour Budapest from the ship (3 h). In the afternoon on 100%-car-free bike paths into the pedestrian zone to stroll around and shop and further on to the Margarete’s island, the wonderful recreation zone in the middle of the city. Bike tour on the approx. 8 km car-free island. Back to the ship, maybe with a stop at the foot of the castle-district. (22 km flat, detailed description). Hint for active travellers: Bike Tour to Szentendre (55 km forth and back).

 

Wednesday, Visit Bratislava & Bike Tour Bratislava - Devin - Bratislava (33/48 km)

Guided sightseeing tour Bratislava from the ship (1 h). Along the Danube-bike path to Devin, the national memorial of Slovakia with a great distance view. On the car-free bike path through floodplains and via the cyclebridge (extraordinary, impressive construction) to Schloss Hof (A) and back or large round trip Danube-Cycle path / Hainburg.

 

Thursday, Bike Tour Krems - Pöchlarn (48 km)

Leaving the UNESCO World Heritage City Krems you will soon arrive in one of the most famous places in the Wachau: Dürnstein. Continue cycling to Weißenkirchen and Spitz. From afar you will see the impressive monastery Melk which is worth seeing. Continue to Pöchlarn where the MS Primadonna is already waiting for you.

 

Friday, Disembarkation / Passau

Arrival in Passau at approx. 9.00 h – After the breakfast at approx. 10.00 h bus transfer to the train station/parking space.

Your luxury Liner at the Danube.
The comfortable cruise ship has a 60m long hotel atrium "Prima Vista", the panorama restaurant "Primo Gusto", the panorama bar "Primavera" and the board theatre "Primo Teatro". Air condition is available at the whole ship and individually adjustable in the cabins. The double hull architecture (catamaran), the 9m glass window at the front, as well as a glass floor at the reception - here you can see directly into the world under water - will make your stay at the MS Primadonna a First-Class-Experience. At the Sundeck you can use the Whirlpool and the sun loungers. In the spa area, a large indoor-whirlpool, a "Kneipp"-pool, a sauna and a HydroJet-massage bed are being offered.

 

Cabins

Main deck cabins (HD) are equipped with a big, not opening porthole and individually adjustable heating, air condition as well as shower/toilet, hair-dryer, TV/radio, safe, telephone and minibar (11.5m2). Main deck astern cabins (HDA) have 9.5m2 with the same equipment and folding bunk beds. At the upper- and promenade deck, the cabins have 16.5m2 and additionally a balcony with a bench and a desk.


Gastronomy

We feel liable for the Viennese cuisine and it is the pride of our ship. According to the controlled guidelines "Healthy kitchen" of the Upper Austrian parliament, everything is produced fresh and on board: Breakfast buffet, 3-course menu for lunch and 4-course menu for dinner, Afternoon coffee/tea & cake and midnight snack. Here you can really enjoy First-Class-Service!

 

General information

> Schedule- and programme changes due to regional circumstances (eg. flood, low water, bad weather etc.) can be possible on order of the 1st captain. Bike trips, side-programs as well as arrival & layover times may also be affected.

> Entrainment of own bikes possible - NO discount on tour price. This on clients’ risk – for damages on the own bike during the whole tour we can’t be held liable.

> EU – citizens need a valid passport or identification card. For citizens of other countries, there are different regulations (and expenses); please inform yourself before arriving to the tour.

> Cycling-clothes are available from our shop on board.

> WLAN free of charge from Passau to (shortly before) Bratislava (with some restrictions in Slovakia & Hungary). There are two central terminals on the ship for checking your e-mails with limited data volume. For any damages due to unavailability, the shipping company cannot be held liable.

> Please inform us about your dietary requirements up to 1 week before departure. We will contact you regarding fulfillment.

PRIVATE TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Withdrawals

1.1 When submitting a withdrawal from the trip / stay the customer undertakes to assume the following cancellation costs:

1.1.1 Cancellation up to 94 days before the program starts - 10% of the total amount of the reservation.

1.1.2 Cancellation from 93 to 52 days before the program starts - 50% of the total amount of the reservation.

1.1.3 Cancellation from 51 to 38 days before the program starts - 70% of the total reservation amount.

1.1.4 Cancellation from 37 to 8 days before the start of the program - 90% of the total amount of the reservation.

1.1.5 Cancellation from 7 days until the beginning of the program or no show - 100% of the total amount of the reservation.
